Praise Reports

I just wanted to share my PRAISE REPORT regarding my
daughter's MRI scan this morning. Thank you so much for
your prayers - the Lord heard you and the others I asked to
pray, and I am so grateful to you all.
I planned to tell my husband on Sunday about the MRI
appointment and hoped that he would desire in himself to
come. But I was away for the weekend, and things kept
delaying the opportunity for me to contact him. By the time
I got home late Monday night it was too late to call.
But amazingly, from Monday I began to feel the peace of God
in a unique way. I began to hear the Lord whisper in my
spirit that even though my husband isn't with me, HE IS. By
Tuesday morning, the peace was so great that I began to
question whether I should talk to my husband at all. I take
Michaela to all of her appointments by myself since the
separation, but God knew that I was afraid of being alone at
this one. By mid-morning on Tuesday after prayer, I
believed the Lord told me to take her alone as I usually do
and that EVERYTHING WOULD BE FINE. AND IT WAS. Today, I
FELT GOD'S PRESENCE AND COMFORT LIKE NEVER BEFORE. He was
my Friend, my Husband and my Father today. I had NO fear
and I had NO loneliness. I just felt His presence, and in
it I felt FULNESS OF JOY.
My other prayer request was that my daughter woulddn't need
a general anaesthetic. Eleven years ago, a 26 year-old
friend of mine was having a simple day surgery procedure
done, and they accidentally overdosed her with anaesthetic
and she died. Ever since then, I have had a phobia of
anaesthetic. But this morning when I got up, God's peace
was so strong. Again, I heard Him whisper to me that even
if she ends up having the anaesthetic, HE IS WITH HER - SHE
WILL BE ABSOLUTELY FINE. When I got there, I realised that
because of how the procedure is done, there was no way for
them to do it without putting her out. BUT I HAD
SO MUCH PEACE - I WAS NOT WORRIED AT ALL. The procedure was
done in less than an hour and she woke up with no problems
before I even got back up to her!
God took care of all my needs today. I had to take the
Underground trains to the appointment, which can be quite
difficult with a stroller. But between the trip there and
the trip back, FOUR people offered to help me with the
stroller on the stairs! Londoners are considered quite rude,
so trust me, that was a MIRACLE!
I get the results of the MRI back in a month or so, but I
have no fear about that. I KNOW that my daugther is
completely healed.
Though the Lord does not always answer prayers in the way
that we expect, He does answer and He does perform His
perfect will in our lives. He knew that my real problem was
FEAR, and rather than just give me what I asked for, He sent
solutions to my problem. I praise Him for knowing EXACTLY
what my needs are.
Be encouraged today. He knows your needs, too, and He hears
EVERY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION. He LOVES you, and He IS
working through every situation in your life.
Thank you SO MUCH for praying.

Recently we received a question from one of the community
members regarding whether it was acceptable to re-marry
their spouse after that spouse had left them for another
person, divorced them and married the other party.
This question was based on a number of facts:
1) her husband participated in an adulterous affair while
still married to her
2) her husband left her
3) her husband divorced her
A good passage to meditate on while seeking the Lord
for direction on this matter is Deu 24:1-4.
Rather than focus on the specific question she asked,
because it is seriously out of order... we should put
things in the right order and then answer the question.
The situation she (and others) are dealing with is "now"
Now this man is living with the woman he left her for
during adultery. The FRUIT in his life was absent at
best, evil at worse. Jesus said:
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a
corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree
cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree
bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not
forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:17
and again later He said:
Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make
the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is
known by his fruit. Mat 12:33
She is a woman single due to divorce. There is no sin
in the mere fact of being divorced by an unfaithful,
fruitless unbeliever. If he were to repent of his sin,
turn to God with a sincere heart and be led by the Spirit
of God, bearing FRUIT, THEN AND ONLY THEN should you
even be considering a question such as this. However,
EVEN then, you would have the problem of his (her) existing
relationship...
The Word of God says clearly:
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for
what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?
and what communion hath light with darkness? 2Co 6:14
"But, he is a believer" you might argue... He goes to
church, he believes in God...
The word "believer" used in the verse above is defined
571 apistov apistos {ap'-is-tos}
AV - that believe not 6, unbelieving 5, faithless 4,
unbeliever 4,infidel 2, thing incredible 1,
which believe not 1; 23
1) unfaithful, faithless, (not to be trusted, perfidious)
2) incredible
2a) of things
3) unbelieving, incredulous
3a) without trust (in God)
The Word of God clearly says that even the DEVIL & DEMONS
"believe" in God and tremble at His name Jas 2:19... but they
aren't in a righteous, fruitful, Spirit led relationship
with God. No, this is the kind of BELIEVING that they have:
4100 pisteuo pisteuo {pist-yoo'-o}
AV - believe 239, commit unto 4
1) to think to be true, to be persuaded of, to credit, place
confidence in
1a) of the thing believed
1bc) mere acknowledgment of some fact or event:
intellectual faith
The same kind, if any, that this ex-husband has...
You are living in the NOW... not some future "what-if"
As in ALL things, you should be led by two witnesses:
the Living Word and the Holy Spirit. These two will
never lead you astray. The Word without the Spirit
is "death" (legalism) ... see 2Co 3:6 and any spirit
without the Word is not the Holy Spirit because Jesus
said "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto
you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which
proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: Joh 15:26
The Holy Spirit never testifies to anything but the Word.
If some "voice" is talking to you and it isn't in the Word
or backed up by the Word, then you'd better flee from
that "stranger" and start meditating upon God's Word
more. John 10:4
Many people in your situation hold on to a bad relationship
with an unbeliever, hoping for some miracle that is based
not truly on the Word or the Holy Spirit but upon their
own idolatry or broken need for that person. Don't be
confused, there are those who are led by the Spirit and
are waiting upon the Father to finish the work He began
in an unbelieving mate. The bottom line is this... if you
don't truly know the answer to your own question then
you need to "hear the voice of the Good Shepherd."
From what was shared, my first response would be move on
with God and put away the past. Listen to the Apostle Paul:
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this
one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind,
and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I
press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of
God in Christ Jesus. Php 3:13-14
I cannot be the Holy Ghost for anyone, however, and if you
have been unable to hear the leading of the Holy Spirit with
absolute clarity all these years, then I suggest you go to
the Lord in faith and let Him be Judge of this matter:
As you can see below from the Old and New Testaments, there
is a manner in which the children of God may "lean not on
their own understanding but in all their ways acknowlege Him
and HE WILL direct your paths." (Pro 3:5-6)
The best way to be led of the Lord is by hearing His voice.
If you are not hearing His voice then you may need instruction
on how to do so... in the meantime this biblical means for
seeking direction from the Lord is available to you:
Le 16:10 But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the
scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make
an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat
into the wilderness.
1Ch 26:14 And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for
Zechariah his son, a wise counsellor, they cast lots; and
his lot came out northward.
1Ch 26:16 To Shuppim and Hosah the lot came forth westward,
with the gate Shallecheth, by the causeway of the going up,
ward against ward.
Es 9:24 Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite,
the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to
destroy them, and had cast Pur, that is, the lot, to consume
them, and to destroy them;
Pr 16:33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole
disposing thereof is of the LORD.
Pr 18:18 The lot causeth contentions to cease, and parteth
between the mighty.
Isa 34:17 And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand
hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for
ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell
therein.
Jon 1:7 And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let
us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is
upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.
Ac 1:26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell
upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
Seek the Lord and do whatever He says...
