The Children's Bread
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Jesus once told a woman "Let the children first be filled:
for it is not meet to take the children's bread and cast it
to the dogs." (Mar 7:27)
Can you say WOW!!! Imagine a disciple of the One True Lord -
making a statement like this to a woman, especially in front
of a group of religious people. They would fall off their
self-made thrones of righteousness. They would gossip and
slander that disciple for being full of pride, lacking true
compassion and failure to reach out and help someone making
them "feel better" in the midst of their need.
But JESUS had no such "fear of man." His approach to life
was not determined by man's opinion but His Father's
voice. The Word of God says clearly: "The fear of man
bringeth a snare; But whoso putteth his trust in Jehovah
shall be safe." Pro 29:25
We are living in times that are very perilous and getting
more so every day. Those who have eyes to see and ears to
hear already understand the signs of the times. Martyrdom
is rapidly approaching for the saints in various countries
and has already become a reality for many in other
countries.
The times we are living in were spoken of by Jesus and He
wanted us to recognize the signs of the times so we would
not be deceived. (Mar 16) This chapter contains much
insight and wisdom concerning the truth about the works
and seriousness of our battle with the enemy. Jesus said
elsewhere that in the latter times (our present times)
that there would be a great falling away from the faith (2Th
2:3) and that the enemy would practically deceive the whole
world. (Mar 13:22) One of the greatest deceptions which
the enemy has pulled off is to cause "believers" not to
believe. What an irony! Those who call themselves
believers, unbelieving!
What is this great deception? The lie that believers can
not have demons. While those who consider themselves
among the elect debate and argue the subject of being
possessed, oppressed, depressed and obsessed, the enemy
is laughing at all the religious groups who are BOUND
and have "been taken captive by Satan to do his will."
(2Ti 2 Suggest you read entire chapter)
Let's look more closely at the exchange between Peter and
Jesus referenced in Mat 16. Peter, the apostle and
disciple of Jesus was certainly a "believer." Yet, in
this exchange we see Jesus speaking to Peter and saying
these words: "Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art a
stumbling-block unto me: for thou mindest not the things of
God, but the things of men."
The Word says that Jesus REBUKED PETER. Lest anyone attempt
to twist this into Jesus simply talking to Satan in some
spiritual conversation as if Peter weren't there or the
very vessel through whom Satan was working.
In Mark 9 we find the story of a believer who had a son
that was demonized. We know he was a believer because
he addressed Jesus as "Teacher." You don't bring your
son to someone and address them with respect if you don't
believe who they are and in what they can do for you.
Furthermore, the father cried out very specifically (v24) "I
believe." Jesus and the disciples entered into their home
after casting out the demon and rested there. This wasn't
one of the heathen, it was one of Christ's believers, yet
his son was demonized.
In Acts 8 we see the story of Simon who was a believer (See
Acts 8:13) and was clearly demonized. He attempted to
purchase the power of the Holy Ghost. Peter pronounced a
very serious judgement upon Simon for being a partner with
the demons working in him. It was only through his
repentance and confession that Peter released him from the
inevitable consequences of being bound by demonic control.
The word "bond" in its original greek at verse 23 is a
reference to being bound by/to something.
In 1Cor 5 we find the story of a man who was a believer and
member of the church who was caught involved in incest with
his mother. He was turned over to Satan for the destruction
of his flesh so his soul might be saved. In other words he
was judged by the apostles and turned over to the enemy for
punishment in this life with the hope and goal of causing
his eventual repentance and restoration. Clearly he was
demonized, yet a believer and member of the church.
How can a demon spirit indwell the same body at the same
time as the Holy Spirit does ?
The New Testament word for "spirit" is pneuma. In
contra-distinction from the natural or "soulish", the spirit
is that part of man which has the ability to grasp and
perceive divine things (I Cor. 2:14).
The word for "soul" is "psyche". This word defines the self
life - the emotions, the intellect and the will. Paul shows
us that man is a three-fold being (I Thes. 5:23).
The Scripture teaches that prior to salvation a man is "dead
in trespasses and sins" (Eph. 2:1). JESUS comes into the
human spirit and brings in His life (I John 5:11-12).
JESUS has made adequate provision for the whole man, but
part of the responsibility now rests upon us as is shown in
the following scripture: (Phil. 2:13-15).
The word for "salvation" in this passage is soteria.
Thayer's Lexicon gives as the primary meaning of this word
"DELIVERANCE from the molestation of enemies". The picture
becomes clear. JESUS has DELIVERED our SPIRIT from the power
of Satan; now He says to us, "Work out your own DELIVERANCE
from the molestation of enemies until you have freed both
SOUL AND BODY".
False teachings are perpetuated by the erroneous and
unscriptural position that Believers cannot have demons. The
following is a partial list of the pitfalls associated with
taking such a position; check yourself against these
results:
01. The old sin nature becomes the "whipping boy" and the
middle ground between God and the demons.
02. All problems are taught to be due to the "lack of
surrender".
03. People are left open to be snared into cults by angels
of light.
04. All inherited characteristics are thought to be
unchangeable.
05. Personality quirks and characteristics are thought to be
unchangeable.
06. Makes us unable to break the bondage on another person's
will.
07. Mental health programs, which teach all problems are the
result of heredity are supported.
08. Demons are given legal ground to stay when a person sits
under teaching that denies a Christian can have a demon.
09. Demonic lies about oppression, possession, etc. are
perpetuated.
10. Reinforces spiritual pride which keeps leaders from
re-examining their teachings and retracting error.
11. Despair and hopelessness are fostered within the
demonized.
12. Gives ground to accept, as law, all medical diagnosis
and medication.
In charismatic circles the question is: "Is it possible for
a Believer who is baptized in the Spirit to have a demon?"
"Absolutely not!" comes the stock answer. "The Holy Spirit
cannot coexist in the same body with a demon!"
Actually, the answer to the question above whether just a
believer or a "spirit-filled" believer is definitely and
biblically demonstrated in many places to be: "yes". More
to come on this in the next few Praise News messages!!

Dear Brother Elijah,
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to tell how this
ministry has helped me. A friend going through his own stand
recommended this ministry. Little did I know the impact and
the blessings that I would derive from it.
I came here hoping to "connect" with a few people going
through the same thing and thought that we could just get
together and discuss and quite frankly at times "dis" our
partners for doing this to us.
Well, the Lord, being the Awesome God that He is, led my
foolish longing to lifesaving grace and renewal. What I
have found here is true ministry and through it I have come
to have the truest and most fulfilling relationship of my
life: The one with Jesus Christ himself.
My marriage fell apart because of BOTH my husband and I and
our BOTH turning away from God and His purposes for us.
Brother Elijah, both you and your team of ministers have
shown me the humilty and grace of prayer and what a precious
gift salvation is. Real restoration and reconciliation
begins when we return back to God our Father. Nothing else
can occur before that happens. The lifeline between us and
our Heavenly Father is real. We just have to use it. I now
can pray in the Holy Spirit, speak in tongues and am now
ministering to other people as God sees fit. The next step
is water baptism.
Thank you MHI and prayer ministry team for helping me turn
my life around and for helping make the Proverbs 31 wife
that my husband will want to come back home to.
Yours in Christ,
Loraine B.
New York
Thank you again for your ministry!!
You just dont know how your ministry has kept me going. I
have wanted to give up! But I know that it is not God's
plan. I am still believing that God will restore my
marriage, after ten years. I will be sending you a donation
soon and also getting other couples involved in your
ministry.
Please continue to pray for me and my wife Christine. I want
us joined together again and active in the ministry for
couples and children. You are so awesome for taking the time
to share with me God's word on marriages. I pray that God
would rain down on this ministry, His anointing to reach
thousands of marriages and to restore tens of thousands of
marriages.
I will pray for this ministry regularly. God bless you
richly, and may He pour out a financial blessing to this
ministry.

My life has been changed by MHI. I first came 3 years ago.
My wife had left me and was in divorce proceedings. I was a
mess emotionally and physically and had little hope. I was
held up in prayer and admonished to believe for my marriage.
All I could think about was my pain and my children's pain.
I was totally focused on My "drug" (wife) and how to fix it
again.
Now three years later she has filed for divorce again and is
trying to remove me from the home. God has been changing my
heart and now I can trust better than ever that he is
working even when I cannot see it. I love the song by Point
of Grace "Waiting in the wings" where it says "even when I
cant see it, God is working in the middle of all things,
evil may have the spotlight for a moment but LOVE is waiting
in the wings" God has comforted me that it will be alright
and I can trust him with it all.
I am so thankful for my church family and my brothers and
sisters at MHI. Please continue to pray for my wife Lorri to
come back to intimacy with Jesus and God's great plan for
our future to be manifest.
