The Children's Bread Part II
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
"Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to
take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs."
(Mar 7:27)
In our last look at this subject we left off after speaking
bit about who can have demons and what some results of false
teaching on this subject produces.
Sadly, much of the professing community of believers seems
to simply accept whatever they are spoon-fed by the "rich
and famous" of the religious world. This is in direct
disregard to the very clear warnings of the Only Living God
to each of us.
Here are just a few warnings...
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's
clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Mat 7:15
In the mean time, when the many thousands of the multitude
were gathered together, insomuch that they trod one upon
another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all,
Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is
hypocrisy. Luk 12:1
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain
deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of
the world, and not after Christ. Col 2:8
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before,
beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the
wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. 2Pe 3:17
Finally then, brethren, we beseech and exhort you in the
Lord Jesus, that, as ye received of us how ye ought to walk
and to please God, even as ye do walk,--that ye abound more
and more. 1Th 4:1
Do you believe the Lord would lead you to believe a doctrine
that was false? Who has an interest in believers
disregarding the Word concerning demons? Certainly not
Jehovah! I'd like to share a personal story with you and
then take a look at Ananias and Saphira in the New
Testament.
After six years of full-time ministry, I went through a
session of personal deliverance as the Lord lead me to this
awareness and to the deliverance minister. It was no circus
act and I was even a little disappointed thinking there
should have been more "evidence" of demons leaving somehow.
The main thing I experienced and was acutely aware of was
that after going through a deliverance session, my mind
was totally QUIET. It was the first time in my life that
I experienced this. My mind is usually extremely active.
What I realized (probably by help of the Holy Spirit) was
that the "thoughts" I had always considered normal and
"me" were in fact, voices of demons which I understood as
"my thoughts." After going through this deliverance I no
longer had such an active "thought" life. It was not only
a sense of peace but a clear understanding that what used
to be a very busy mind was now a very quieted mind.
Ananias was a man who not only was actively involved in the
fellowship of the saints but was clearly a follower of Jesus
and also filled with the Holy Spirit. Ananias and his wife
Sapphira conspired together to lie to the Apostles regarding
how much money they had made from selling their property.
The story can be found in Acts 5. If you read in context
you will see in verses 31 and 32 in Acts 4 that they were
among those who were "all filled with the Holy Spirit" and
"were of one heart and soul: and not one of them said that
aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they
had all things common."
In other words, not only were they Christians, but they were
Spirit-filled Christians who sold their property because
they were in harmony with the other believers and the
overall needs of the entire body as well as the need to help
the poor. Their initial intention was to hold "all things
common" amongst their fellowship. However, we see in regard
to Ananias that "Satan filled thy heart to lie to the Holy
Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land."
WAIT A MINUTE!!!
If he was a believer, a Holy Ghost baptized believer, how
then could Satan have "filled his heart?" Because the Holy
Ghost indwells our spirit and devils/demons work in our
flesh and soul. This may be precisely why the Lord tells
us not to "give place to the devil" (Eph 4:27)
The Greek for give place essentially means "place, any
portion or space marked off, as it were from surrounding
space","an inhabited place","opportunity, power, occasion
for acting."
Elsewhere in the Word we find:
And the Lord's servant must not strive, but be gentle
towards all, apt to teach, forbearing, in meekness
correcting them that oppose themselves; if peradventure God
may give them repentance unto the knowledge of the truth,
and they may recover themselves out of the snare of the
devil, having been taken captive by him unto his will. 2Ti
2:24-26
It is good to look closely at the meaning of words. In this
passage, the word "oppose" (themselves) means "to place
one's self in opposition." What are they placing themselves
in opposition to? The truth.. the way.. the life! We see
the picture of someone who must repent due to placing
themself in opposition to God's Word hopefully that they may
RECOVER themselves out of the snare of the devil, having
been taken captive by him unto his will.
The word "recover" used here means to "return to soberness"
and the Word of God warns us to "Be sober, be watchful: your
adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about,
seeking whom he may devour." 1Pe 5:8
You see, friends, this is a clear picture of at least two
things:
1) those who gave entrance to the devil by thoughts, desires
and actions. 2) those who are now BOUND.
There are occasions where a person may be able to repent and
recover without help from another. There are also occasions
where they CANNOT escape the snare without the help of
someone outside that snare. The latter is the case for
those who need spiritual warfare and eventually deliverance
in order to be free.
Our God is not a formula God. We cannot place Him in our
neat little boxes. People may experience deliverance in
various ways. Through sound teaching of good doctrine,
through reading and meditating upon the Word, through
deliverance sessions, and more.
The key, however, is to recognize that believers are NOT
immune to demonic bondage and in many cases will need either
spiritual warfare or deliverance... or BOTH in order to be
RECOVERED to a place of soberness and right relationship
with the Lord.
If you wish to take a crash course in deliverance then
prayerfully consider getting our Basic Deliverance Handbook
at http://store.marriagehealing.org. There is a suggested
$5.95 donation for this 190 page handbook but we will gladly
send it to anyone who cannot afford this and makes a
request.

Praise Reports
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Hi Family, I have so much to be thankful for. Being in love
with the Lord is like a constant "butterfly" feeling. I just
want more and more of Him. He has been so faithful to me
over my entire life. I praise Him for choosing me to be
fatherless at the age of two. It made me strong over the
years and I never realize the impact it would have on my
life in a positive way. I realize it meant a special
calling for me. I know I have the promise of seeing my Dad
one day. I've been told I was the apple of his eye. What
joy it brings in just knowing that. As I look at Daddy's
picture of him and me and see the joy in his face, I can
just imagine the great love our Heavenly Father has for us,
there is no comparison. If you are a parent, you know the
love I'm talking about. You would die for one of your
children, this is what our Lord has done for us.
I praise Him for being raised by a Christian Mother and
being rooted and grounded in Biblical teachings. I've been
blessed to have Christian relatives. It fills my heart with
compassion for others who were perhaps not raised this way.
We don't have a choice in which family we are born in, but
those of us who are blessed, it is our purpose and goal to
reach the hurting ones for Christ. For them to experience
this agape' love. I praise Him and it's my heart's desire is
to grow deeper in my relationship with Him. He's been
faithful to me in my marriage as well, even though it's been
a challenge, I see the Lord blessing each day. He never
promised it would be easy eh? But we have the assurance He
is in control and is sovereign. Once we grasp this, we gain
freedom in Him.
For me, working on my relationship with Christ, allowing Him
to change me, has drawn me close to Him. This has helped me
to continue the battle I'm in. I would be nothing without
Him. He has promised great things by trusting in Him and not
my mate. There have been some dark days, but only to see His
light shine through. The rainbow after the storm. What a
Mighty God we serve. He is there for us, all we have to do
is call on Him. Thank you Jesus, thank you! This is just a
temporary thing, so small in time compared to eternity. It
will change in His time. "For the end of a matter is better
than it's beginning"..Ecc 7:8
In the meantime, we press on to do His will, praising Him in
the storm, keeping our focus on Him. My family has had some
things come up that have been unsettling. But the Lord has
been so faithful to provide for us financially. This has
required much faith and trust. Not worrying about tomorrow.
Not knowing what the next paycheck would cover. Giving it to
Him completely. I praise Him for blessing me with a husband
who takes care of us and goes to great lengths to provide.
I praise Him for blessings He shows me and blessings I don't
see. It's not about me and my needs, it's all about the Lord
and all for Him. To bring Him glory, for Him to be exalted
among men. Enthroned by our praise. Thank you Jesus, for
dying on the cross, that I might live. I praise You in this
storm, for blossoming me to the next level. I love you
Lord...much peace, love and blessings to you all. Cindy P
